Wood Products & Technology 2026 in Gothenburg is behind us. Thank you to everyone who visited us at our stand.


From 25 to 27 August 2026 we took part in Wood Products & Technology 2026 at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg. It is one of Scandinavia’s leading trade fairs for the wood processing industry and a regular opportunity for us to meet customers and partners from Northern Europe.

At our stand we presented our solutions for efficient and sustainable timber drying and celebrated 35 years of KATRES on the market.

Our exhibition followed the motto „Designad för Nordiska förhållanden. Byggd för att leverera varje dag.“ – designed for Nordic conditions, built to deliver every day. That is exactly how we have been approaching timber drying kilns for more than three decades.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, for your interest and for the time you gave us. We look forward to meeting you again – at one of the upcoming trade fairs, or directly at your site.

The very successful Ligna 2017 fair is behind us

 In the past week of May, we took part in the important wood trade fair Ligna 2017. Our stand has been widely visited since the first day. Our experts from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey and Finland met with new potential customers and also welcomed the existing ones. From the point of view of the occupation of our representatives, the demand and the good references, this fair was very successful.

The stand was built with the support of the European Regional Development Fund, the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness.

 One of our largest customers in Ukraine - CMB OSMOLODA Brošniv buys  a newly developed wood chip conveyor dryers KBD 3/12 with a processing capacity of 2 tons of dry material per hour. The company CMB Osmoloda is a modern wood processing plant focused mainly on coniferous material . Our technology will help CBM Osmoloda to expand their production to the production of pellets, and thus fully utilize waste material. Expected commission is planned October 2016. ...více

Another successful Ligna 2019 is over

 The last week of May held an important timber trade fair Ligna 2019 in Germany. We participated in it with our foreign colleagues from Turkey, Germany, Finland, Russia and Chile. We have met new potential customers and welcomed the existing ones. The fair was very successful in terms of the utilization of our representatives, inquiries received and good references.

The construction of the stand was supported by the European Regional Development Fund, the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness.

 On September 4 - 6, 2019, we participated in the international trade fair “PUUMESSUT 2019” in Finland again. We have welcomed our former, current and possibly future customers. We rate the event as very successful and certainly we have not been here for the last time, because the Finnish market is specific and it provides us with many opportunities and challenges. Katres seals major dry kiln deal with Herbert Handlos GmbH

 We are very happy to announce our deal for a delivery of 8 High Capacity Accelerated Dry Kilns to Herbert Handlos GmbH ( www.handlos.at ) for KVH production. 
We are riding the wave of popularity of this type of accelerated dry kiln throughout the region which enables  30 to 50% reduction in the drying time compared to conventional drying chambers. This can save electrical and thermal energy.
The kilns are equipped with new type of Reco-counterflow heat recovery units.
