Progressive tunnel drying kilns are fit for bigger drying quantity of one´s kind material – especially for softwood. Efficient usage stand need drying from 25 000 m3 wood per annum.
Tunell drying chamber with continuous drying process of wood. Transport of wood between various drying sections is realized by automatic conveyer system. Big advantage of progressive drying kilns is providing the same and equable drying conditions for all dried wood which cause 30 % shortening of total drying time against truck-charged batch kilns. Outstanding reduction of operating cost for heat and electric energy is performed with efficient recuperation unit. Each KATRES progressive tunnel drying kiln is designed individually according to the client´s requirements for maximum utilization of technological drying advantages of this type of drying kiln.
